Simone Biles will swap her usual VIP suite for the sideline to become the NFL’s ‘guest photographer’ during tonight’s Bears-49ers Sunday Night Football showdown.
The surprise announcement will see the Olympics icon capture photos of her husband Jonathan Owens up close, as he takes to the field in one of the biggest games of the season so far.
Biles’ new role was revealed by the NFL on social media, complete with a video of the gymnast – camera in hand at the side of the field in San Francisco.
‘Hey guys, I’m Simone Biles and we’re here at Sunday Night Football where the Bears take on the 49ers, and I’m going to be taking some photographs.’
The sideline role is a big change to Biles’ usual routine, given she is usually seen swigging champagne in a VIP suite alongside her pals.
Retirement has been treating the 28-year-old well, and she has spent the last few months playing the role of doting wife as her husband’s NFL career continues to go from strength to strength.

The Green Bay Packers’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens sealed the division title for the Bears – its first since 2018.
The Niners game is still hugely important, though, as Chicago continues to battle for No 1 seed in the NFC.
Biles, meanwhile, is not the first big name to take on the role of guest photographer in the NFL, after her Olympic colleague Suni Lee did the same on Christmas Day.

The Saint Paul, Minnesota, native headed to US Bank Stadium for the Vikings’ clash with the Detroit Lions, broadcast live on Netflix.
She was behind the camera as the Lions were eliminated from playoff contention following their 23-10 loss in Minneapolis.
But Lee was not the first sports star to try their hand as a photographer either.
Back in August, NFL legend Marshawn Lynch was behind the lens at the Seahawks-Raiders preseason clash, while ex-baseball star Ken Griffey J. is now regularly seen covering major events as a photographer.
