Simone Biles has quashed the rumors that she and husband Jonathon Owens are expecting a child following their appearance at the Kentucky Derby.
At the event, Biles spoke to E! News about her and Owens’ desire to have children and have them play sports.
‘I’ve always wanted to be a mother, have kids and just like [Owens], he’s always wanted to be a dad, so it’s just really exciting,’ she said.
Those comments apparently signaled to fans of the gymnastics star that she was pregnant, but she later took to Threads to shut that notion down.
‘I am not pregnant, I never was pregnant therefore I never had a baby,’ she said. ‘Please stop asking me and falling for AI.’
Biles, 28, and Owens, 29, have been married for two years.

The couple got married in April 2023, though Biles previously told TODAY that ‘we both have goals that we want to achieve before we start a family.’
The seven-time gold medalist’s rebuttal on social media came as she divided opinion with her ‘Rider’s Up’ call ahead of the Kentucky Derby.
Wearing a lavender dress and matching hat, she was flanked by local law enforcement as she looked into the camera and delivered the message.
She said: ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, the city of Louisville, the Commonwealth of Kentucky and sports fans from around the world have been waiting for this moment.’
Biles then excitingly said ‘Riders up’ before blowing a kiss to the camera.
However, her performance was called ‘cringey’ by one fan while another said she ‘sounded ridiculous.’
Others said ‘great job’ and that she was ‘adorable.’
Biles, who matched with Owens – a safety for the Chicago Bears – also attended the race with her mother, Nellie, and the three of them were interviewed by NBC Sports.

Biles was asked whether or not she has decided to compete at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
She replied: ‘I have not decided. It is such an honor to compete on home soil with the fans and everything, but as of now I’m just going to take some time off to focus on my mental and physical health and then we’ll see.
‘If anything, I’ll definitely be there supporting Team USA but I just don’t know right now if it’s on the floor or in the stands.’
Ultimately, it turned out to be a good day for Nellie as she backed the eventual winner, Sovereignty.
