A new report has claimed Bill Belichick and Linda Holliday had actually broken up a year before their split was officially announced.
Their relationship has been brought back into the limelight in recent days after Jordon Hudson brutally ripped Holliday in a private Instagram exchange.
As the Daily Mail revealed exclusively last week, Hudson called Holliday ‘pathetic’ and ‘delusional’ after discovering a personal email she sent to Belichick during their 16-year relationship.
Belichick and Holliday, 62, broke up in September 2023 after 16 years together. He met Hudson on a flight from Boston to Florida in 2021.
There has been speculation over the timeline of Belichick and Hudson’s relationship but a new report in People has alleged his relationship with Holliday had long been over when he started dating Hudson.
‘Many assumed that Bill had cheated on Linda through 2022 and 2023, but they were broken up by September 2022,’ a source said.

‘Linda was still pretending they were together after the breakup, and Bill played along so she could transition with the least amount of public humiliation and avoid abrupt displacement.
‘Bill moved into a hotel nearby Gillette Stadium in September and allowed Linda to continue to stay in his homes.’.
Another source added that they had ‘been pretty separate for a while’ and they were dealing with problems that were ‘not new’ when they finally went their separate ways.
Tensions between Hudson and Holliday have been high for months. The two are said to have had a feisty exchange at a Christmas event in Nantucket towards the end of last year.
It ramped up last week though when Hudson engaged in the testy Instagram exchange after being called a ‘gold digger’ by a user she believed was Holliday’s close friend.
Hudson claimed that she ‘found’ the letter at Belichick’s home near Boston, and sent a picture of it to her supposed friend, insisting that Holliday should ‘burn it.’
Neither Hudson nor Holliday responded to the Daily Mail’s request for comment.
However, Hudson and Belichick emerged over the weekend at the Nantucket Film Festival, according to Page Six.

A source told the publication that Hudson and the 73-year-old coach ‘partied all night with festival attendees.’
The likes of Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor were also at the event.
Belichick has been embedded in the Nantucket community dating back to his years with the Patriots, and his past and present collided in May when Holliday reportedly confronted Hudson and her friend at an event there.
According to an incident report filed by an employee at a Christmas party – which was obtained by TMZ – Holliday was enraged by Hudson’s presence at the December 6 event, which Holliday’s daughters were DJing at.
The incident report said that Holliday thought Hudson being there was ‘inappropriate, since the event was widely advertised as a party headlined by her daughters.’
The report claims that at 9:30pm, Holliday approached the member of staff and asked her to remove Hudson from the party.
Hudson, who was at the event with fellow pageant contest Melissa Sapini, eventually agreed to leave the event – but told a staffer that Holliday threatened her friend while they were still on the dance floor.
It was claimed Holliday told Hudson’s friend that if she ‘valued her current title, she should think twice about who her friends are’ and that she ‘had many powerful friends in the pageant organization.’

Thus, it’s not wholly unsurprising that Hudson would have choice words for Holliday months later after being prodded in a direct message exchange with a purported friend of Holliday’s.
Replying with a blistering and sarcastic retort she wrote: ‘Hey babes! Since you are tight with Ms Holiday (sic), could you please ask her what she would like me to do with this letter I found from 2015?
‘Due to its pathetic and embarrassing content, I imagine she wants it back,’ she wrote, referring to the private email.
She later continued: ‘She should make the point to burn it so she continue to live in delusional denial (that her relationship with BB wasn’t doomed yeaaaaars prior to him finally dumping her)’ she continued.
‘I know she cares a great deal to continue to manipulate her friends, as well as the public, into believing that I came in and ruined her perfect relationship.’
