Sheffield United’s highly-rated England U20 international Louie Marsh is the subject of interest for a number of Championship clubs.
The 21-year old only has 18 months left on his contract but after the Blades brought in Tom Cannon and Ben Brereton Diaz, opportunities will be limited.
Manager Chris Wilder still has high hopes for their homegrown academy graduate and believes loaning him out will be of greater benefit during the second half of the season.
Huddersfield Town, Stockport County, Barnsley and Stevenage are all believed to be monitoring his situation regarding Marsh.
Meanwhile, Ipswich Town right-back Harry Clarke has joined Sheffield United after their move for Hertha Berlin full-back Jonjoe Kenny fell through.
The Bundesliga 2 side were asking £1.5million for the former Everton right-back. Clarke also had interest from Sheffield Wednesday.
Clarke player a key role in the Ipswich team that secured back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League.
However, others such as Axel Tuanzebe, Ben Johnson and January addition Ben Godfrey were being selected ahead of Clarke before his departure.
As a result, he managed just four starts in the Premier League this season, giving away a penalty and being sent off against Brentford.
His last start for the club came against just before Christmas when his side were beaten 4-0 at home by Newcastle.
