Summer Warne has revealed she was involved in a heated altercation with a fellow concertgoer after having water poured down her clothing during an emotional Ed Sheeran performance in Melbourne.
Shane Warne and Ed Sheeran formed a close personal friendship after meeting during Sheeran’s early tours of Australia, bonding over cricket and music.
Sheeran became a regular guest of the Warne family and performed at Shane Warne’s private funeral and memorial service at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in March 2022, honouring his late friend.
The singer has remained connected to Warne’s children, Summer, Brooke and Jackson, and has publicly supported the family in the years following Warne’s sudden death.
But now Brooke has revealed she was involved in an ugly altercation at one of Sheeran’s most recent Australian concerts.
The 24-year-old daughter of late cricket legend Shane Warne shared details of the confrontation at Marvel Stadium, telling followers she was left shocked and furious by the behaviour of a woman she labelled a ‘Karen’.

The outraged 24-year-old took to social media platform TikTok to express her disgust at the other woman’s alleged behaviour
Warne, who attended the concert with siblings Brooke and Jackson, said tensions began when she and her friends stood up to dance during the show.
‘I wasn’t aware of the rule you aren’t allowed to stand up and sing and dance at a concert,’ Summer said in a video posted to TikTok.
The situation escalated dramatically when she claims another woman sitting behind her poured water down her clothing without warning.
‘I got water poured all over my back and my a** crack tonight,’ she said.
‘And she’s pouring it like all over my jeans and my top. Keep in mind this isn’t just the lady that had just abused [my friend], a different lady. She starts laughing and smirking … she goes ‘it must have been an accident’… at this point I’m seeing red.’
Warne said she confronted the woman immediately after realising what had happened.
‘I said what possesses you to pour water down my undies and down my jeans for standing up and dancing at a concert?’
‘You are a grown a** woman picking on a 24 year-old girl that is trying to have fun at a concert.’

She admitted the confrontation pushed her to react in a way she normally wouldn’t.
‘She’s denying it and then I lose it. Never in my life have I gone off at someone like this.’
The emotional night carried deeper significance for Warne, given Sheeran’s close bond with her late father.
‘Not to be a pick me or make it all about me, Ed was very good friends with my dad and they had a very beautiful friendship and obviously his concerts are very bittersweet because as amazing and beautiful as they are, they’re also quite emotional because so many of his songs my family and I have an emotional tie to.’
‘For example Photograph was played at his private funeral, he played at dad’s memorial at the MCG.’
She said attending the concert brought both joy and sadness.
‘So even going tonight I was so excited but I was also kind of like, I wish dad was here because we’d always go to Ed Sheeran concerts together so I was already feeling a type of way.’
Warne said the incident continued even after she documented what had happened, claiming the woman poked her in the back after being photographed.

Despite her sister urging her to walk away, Warne said her emotions took over following the alleged humiliation.
Her TikTok video quickly gained traction online, with thousands of viewers expressing support and sympathy for the young actress.
Many fans also noted that Sheeran’s concerts are known for encouraging audience participation, including standing, singing and dancing.
Warne later delivered a pointed remark aimed at her alleged aggressor.
‘Just make sure you’re not dancing, you’re not standing up, you’re not singing and that Karens all have lids on their water bottles,’ she said.
The confrontation comes four years after Shane Warne’s sudden death in March 2022 at the age of 52 while holidaying in Thailand.
The spin bowling legend shared a close friendship with Sheeran, who performed at his memorial service at the MCG.
Warne is survived by his three children — Summer, Jackson and Brooke — who have continued to honour his legacy in the years since his passing.
