At least one person has been injured after a crash involving a number of vehicles on the busy M62 motorway, North West Ambulance Service has said.
A woman has been taken to hospital following the collision between junctions 18 Simister Island Interchange and junction 19 near Heywood in Rochdale.
The westbound carriageway has been temporarily shut, causing long delays.
Drivers have been urged by National Highways to use diversionary routes.
Roads have partially reopened on the same motorway after a separate crash earlier today between junction 22 at Rishworth Moor and junction 23 at Huddersfield.
The A672 Oldham Road towards Rishworth was also shut earlier due to a large moorland blaze, which broke out on Thursday afternoon in Ripponden, West Yorkshire.
