First Steps Women’s Centre is hosting an engaging roundtable discussion to help employers create and foster supportive and inclusive workplaces for female staff.

At this event, you’ll hear first hand from women seeking opportunities and employers who are leading the way. You’ll also learn about

Supportive employment

Find out how supportive employment practices are crucial to ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all women to gain sustainable employment.

The role of employers

Discover how employers can consider policies such as flexible working or maternity leave, as well as how compassionate or flexible their leadership style is.

Benefits for the labour market

Understand how supportive employment practices will help to bring about gender equality within the workplace, as well as increased opportunities for mothers and carers to find work again.

Research findings

Find out further information on First Steps Women’s Centre’s research in this area, including information and statistics on the various perspectives from both women (employed and unemployed) and employers within the Mid-Ulster area on supportive employment practices.
