NRL fans have left their seats in a panic after a rat was filmed running through a grandstand at CommBank Stadium on Saturday night.

The creature was recorded causing chaos during the Wests Tigers’ victory over the Bulldogs in Sydney’s west.

Footage uploaded to TikTok shows supporters quickly abandoning their spots while the rat scurried around.

The video has amassed 42,000 views, with some of the fans leaping up and pointing at the rodent while three supporters in the foreground stayed put – although one of them lifted his feet up onto his seat.

Some viewers joked about the episode in the comments section, with several comparing the rat to Dogs halfback Lachlan Galvin.

Galvin was at the centre of one of the 2025 season’s biggest scandals when he turned his back on the Tigers and signed with the Dogs in May.

Some unkind footy supporters light-heartedly compared the rat to Dogs half Lachlan Galvin (pictured), who enraged Tigers diehards when he split from the club last year

The 20-year-old and his teammates struggled as the Tigers snapped their losing streak and consigned the Bulldogs to another defeat.

Galvin was on the end of constant booing from his old Tigers fans, but Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo insists the star five-eighth wasn’t bothered by it.

Nearly a year has passed since Galvin walked out on Benji Marshall’s side to move to Belmore.

But the pain of his acrimonious exit has clearly not subsided for Tigers fans.

Galvin copped the biggest jeers from the crowd of 17,505 when Jarome Luai sidestepped and belted him.

‘I don’t know if he notices, but it’s what’s going to make him a very good player down the track is that he deals with this stuff all the time,’ Ciraldo said.

‘He deals with people talking about him all the time, people booing him. I get it, it’s footy, but he’ll be a better player for it.

‘Everything’s tribal, we love our clubs, we love our teams, we love our players, and that stuff comes out – it’ll die off eventually.’
