Police are searching for the driver of a car that crashed off a road into the River Nairn in the Highlands.
Martin Hannah, 59, is believed to have been the driver of a car that entered the water near to Howford Bridge at 09:15.
One person, the passenger, was taken to hospital after the car came off Cawdor Road. Their condition is not known.
Mr Hannah was last seen on Cawdor Road – police have described him as 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build with short red hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt and black jogger bottoms.
Emergency services were called to the scene including two fire engines and two water rescue units.
Earlier, police said the driver of the car had left the scene before officers arrived.
Sgt Steven Maclennan said: “Concerns are growing for Martin’s welfare, and it is vital that we find him to make sure he is safe and well.
“Extensive searches are ongoing, and we are asking Martin or anyone who has seen someone matching Martin’s description or knows where he might be to get in touch.”
