Scott Mills has long history with BBC
Scott Mills first joined the corporation in 1998, where he presented the early breakfast show on Radio 1 until 2004. He then moved to a weekend slot before doing maternity cover for Sara Cox’s weekday early-evening show.
However, he took over the role full-time after Cox decided to quit, and it became The Scott Mills Show. He left Radio 1 after 24 years, in 2022, to replace the late Steve Wright’s weekday afternoon slot. Two years later, he replaced Zoe Ball as host of the station’s flagship breakfast show.
