AICON is part of Belfast Tech Week 2026
AICON 2026 will take place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Belfast on 23 September 2026.
AICON is described as Ireland’s leading artificial intelligence (AI) conference. This annual event is curated by Kainos and supported by Matrix, Allstate, Danske Bank, Options Technology and the Artificial Intelligence Collaboration Centre (AICC).
The 2026 theme is ‘From Possible to Proven Agents at Work’. The programme aims to
- show how AI agents make decisions and manage workflows
- explain how to run AI at scale with accountability
- cover governance, security and ownership for AI outcomes
The conference uses a twin-track format with two parallel programmes
- AI Delivered – offering case studies of organisations embedding AI in core operations, with discussion of scaling, governance, and measurable results.
- AI Frontiers – exploring agentic AI and emerging developments, and focusing on security, implementation and autonomy, with evidence-based discussion of risks and capabilities.
AICON is aimed at senior business leaders and managers, digital, data and technology teams, policymakers and regulators, and professionals responsible for AI strategy, governance or implementation.
