The Giants poked fun at the ‘Phillies Karen’ scandal after a home run incident at their own ballpark – which had a much happier ending.
On Friday night, a Phillies fan at the Marlins’ LoanDepot Park went viral for all the wrong reasons as she bullied a man into handing over a home run ball he’d snagged for his son and claimed it belonged to her.
The male fan, Drew Feltwell, was forced to take the ball away from his son and later explained to NBC 10 Philadelphia that he had secured the item ahead of the boy’s 10th birthday.
But another child was left with a much happier memory on Monday as a home run was hit into the bleachers of Oracle Park.
While a young man initially came away from a scrum of fans with the ball, he quickly spotted a young girl nearby and decided to hand it to her.
She looked delighted as her dad lifted her up in the air and fans around them clapped.

The incident came after a ‘Phillies Karen’ demanded another fan hand a ball over to her last week
And as the Giants posted a clip of the heartwarming moment, they took a shot at the now-infamous Phillies fan in the process.
‘No Karens at our ballpark,’ the team wrote on X.
The good vibes continued for the Giants afterwards at the team went on to beat the Diamondbacks 11-5.
Following Feltwell’s clash with the female Phillies fan last week, he explained that he wanted the woman to ‘go away’, and try to be a role model for his son.
‘Just trying to set an example of how to de-escalate a situation in front of my son, I guess,’ he told NBC 10 Philadelphia.
The moment initially went viral when FanDuel Sports Network Florida cameras showed Feltwell and the woman clashing.
‘That was ours,’ she yelled at him.

After he gestured to his son, who he’d given the ball to, the man tried to explain that she didn’t actually catch the souvenir.
She ‘just wouldn’t stop’ in the words of Feltwell, however, and ultimately got her hands on the home run hit by Harrison Bader. She was ultimately booed out of the stadium and slammed on social media.
Feltwell’s son, Lincoln, meanwhile, got to meet Bader after the game and even received a signed bat from the Phillies star.
However, Feltwell admitted to having some regret at taking the ball away from his son.
‘I felt like super dad putting that ball in his glove and giving him a hug,’ he said.
He later continued: ‘Putting the ball in his glove and then taking it back out killed me.’
