Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme 2026/2027 is now open

Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme 2026/2027 is now open

The Rural Micro Capital Grant is now accepting applications offering up to £2,000 to social enterprises, groups and voluntary organisations

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) has opened applications for the Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme (RMCGS) 2026/27.

Rural community groups, voluntary organisations and Social Economy Enterprises can apply for grants between £500 and £2,000 to fund projects tackling locally identified issues of poverty and/or social isolation.

Project eligibility guidelines

Projects should focus on one of these areas

  • modernisation of buildings or equipment
  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • health and wellbeing
  • energy efficiency or environmental improvements

How to apply

For more information and to apply, contact the Rural Support Network in your local council area.

The deadline for applications is midday on Monday 22 June 2026.
