Roy Keane has told Liverpool boss Arne Slot which three positions he needs to strengthen in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool secured their 20th league title last weekend to cap off a superb debut campaign at the helm for Slot.
However, thoughts are already beginning to turn towards next season and how the Reds can strengthen in the transfer market.
Liverpool were beaten 3-1 away to Chelsea on Sunday, with Slot opting to make some alterations to his starting lineup.
Keane feels that although Liverpool have a strong squad there are still several areas in which they can improve.
Former Liverpool stars Daniel Sturridge and Jamie Redknapp also gave their verdicts ahead of an intriguing transfer window.

Liverpool secured their status as champions last weekend and want more success
According to Keane, Liverpool should look to bring in a left-back, a centre-back and possibly a striker this summer.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane said: ‘They want to back that up. That’s the big challenge for Liverpool. Possibly a left-back, a centre half, potentially I would say striker. They’ve won the league, they’ll be a big attraction for a lot of players. Winning the league’s fantastic, you’ve got to back it up again next year.’
Sturridge agreed that a new forward should be high on Liverpool’s list of priorities.
In addition, Sturridge suggested that it is vital that Liverpool tie defender Ibrahima Konate down to a new contract, with his current deal having just over a year left to run.
Sturridge said: ‘Certainly an attacker, a striker. Jota has been the main man but they probably do need another striker, potentially a back up for Mo.
‘You’ve got to lock up Konate as well. His partnership with van Dijk has been key to the team’s success. It’s always good to have a partnership you can rely on and trust.’
Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield, but while Redknapp praised the left-back he suggested that Andy Robertson shouldn’t be written off just yet.
Redknapp said: ‘I wouldn’t write off Robertson, top player great professional. Kerkez has been amazing for Bournemouth. He’s like a younger version.’

Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt could potentially improve Liverpool’s forward options
Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike has also been mentioned as a potential option for Liverpool.
Redknapp said: ‘Ekitike’s been mentioned. It hasn’t worked out for Darwin Nunez. It doesn’t need major surgery, they’ve just won the title.’
Last summer Liverpool made just one signing, with Federico Chiesa, who has largely been on the fringes this season, joining from Juventus.
