Turki Alalshikh has made it clear he would like to see Moses Itauma fight undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk next following the youngster’s emphatic victory over Dillian Whyte on Saturday evening.

Itauma, the WBO’s No.1-ranked heavyweight, floored Whyte with a barrage of punches after just 90 seconds of the opening round.

The referee stepped in as the former world title challenger struggled to recover, handing Itauma his 13th straight professional victory and extending his perfect record.

Whyte, 37, had hoped to use the bout to force his way back into the title picture, having previously fought Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

Instead, the loss leaves his career in serious doubt, while Itauma’s stock continues to rise – with many, including Alalshikh, wanting him to face Usyk next.

Alalshikh, who has overseen a string of major boxing events in Saudi Arabia, made it clear post-fight that his ambition is to see Itauma go straight into a clash with Usyk.

According to The Ring Magazine, Alalshik is eager to see the rising star against the current Ring, WBA, WBO and IBF champion – who is known for taking Brits down.

Meanwhile, speaking about his future after the fight, Itauma said: ‘I want to say thank you to the ‘Body Snatcher’ Dillian Whyte – it takes two to tango.

‘What is next? I will fight anyone they put in front of me. [The crowd] are saying they want me to fight Usyk next.’

He went on to add: ‘The team mentioned they want me to get some rounds out. Any of them can happen.’
