Napoli will reportedly offer Kevin De Bruyne a contract worth £10million (€12m) as they hope to land the Manchester City star this summer.

The Belgian midfielder last month revealed that he will be leaving the Etihad after a trophy-laden decade when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The 33-year-old will be available on a free transfer and has attracted interested from a host of top clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia.

Napoli have been touted as likely destination for De Bruyne, who is reportedly keen on linking up with Antonio Conte.

He will be offered a two-year contract worth around £5.05m (€6m) a season, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The package would be a significant reduction on the roughly £20m he is earning at City per season, but could come with the offer to extend for a third season.

Meanwhile, De Bruyne’s wife, Michel Lacroix, has been spotted in Napoli, where she is believed to have been house-hunting.

The De Bruynes in fact have a tie to the area, having been married in Sorrento, a peninsula town a little further down the Gulf of Naples coast.

Napoli are in prime position to win the Serie A title and sit at the top of the table, one point above Inter Milan, with just two fixtures remaining.

A title win in Conte’s first season in Naples would be their second in three seasons, having waited 33 years before sealing it in 2023.

The Italian club have recruited heavily from the Premier League in recent seasons and currently count Scott McTominay, Romelu Lukaku, Billy Gilmour and Philip Billing among their ranks.

The Scots have played an important role in Conte’s title charge.

McTominay was voted the Serie A Player of the Month for April and has enjoyed a stunning year since moving from Manchester United last summer for £25.5m.

He’s bagged 12 goals across all competitions for Gli Azzuri this season.

Napoli are guaranteed Champions League football next season and are also linked with Liverpool flop Federico Chiesa.

They are they are keen to offer him a return to Italy after a disappointing year at Anfield, with the 27-year-old only making five league appearances for the champions after being signed for £12million from Juventus last year.

Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly another option for the Italian side, while Inter are also targeting him.

The 23-year-old joined United from Bologna in a £36.5million deal but has only scored three Premier League goals in 32 appearances in his maiden season.

Kevin De Bruyne could pick up a final piece of silverware in England on Saturday.

Despite City’s disappointing season, which Erling Haaland described as ‘horrible’ and ‘boring’, they face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup Final at Wembley.

It would be his third FA Cup, alongside his six Premier League titles, five EFL Cups and a Champions League trophy in his ten-year spell in Manchester.
