Bayern Munich’s new signing Tom Bischof is reportedly dating the daughter of a German footballing legend.

The attacking midfielder, 20, made the move to the Bundesliga giants earlier this summer after signing a pre-contract agreement to move from Hoffenheim at the end of his contract.

And it seems he’s settling into life in Bavaria pretty well, and has even found himself a new girlfriend.

Indeed, Bischof is thought to have struck up a romance with the Josefine Scholl, 17, the daughter of former Bayern midfield maestro Mehmet Scholl.

The couple have been dating for nearly four months, according to BILD, and were even spotted sharing a steamy kiss together after Bayern’s 4-0 friendly victory over Tottenham Hotspur last week.

Josefine – an influencer with almost 40,000 Instagram followers – was also in attendance for Bischof’s debut in the German Super Cup against VfB Stuttgart at the weekend, during which he came off the bench.

In Germany, the age of sexual consent is 14 years old.

For Bischof, an attacking midfielder, who better to learn from than his girlfriend’s father – an undisputed Bayern Munich legend?

Scholl made 469 appearances for the German giants during 17 years in the Bundesliga, scoring an impressive 117 goals.

After committing his entire career to the club, he ultimately announced his retirement from the game in 2007, saying farewell to Munich fans on an emotional occasion against Barcelona.

The 69,000 fans in attendance held up ‘thank you’ placards to the club legend, who said on the day: ‘It wasn’t a forgone conclusion that I’d be picked to play against Barcelona just because it’s my last game. I’d like to say a big thank you to Bayern.’

Bischof therefore has a huge task on his hands if he’s to live up to the standards set, and likely expected, by his partner’s father.

He’s made a promising start to his career nevertheless, having already earnt himself a cap for the German national team at the age of just 20.

As would be expected at Bayern nevertheless, Bischof is going to face fierce competition for his place in midfield.

Bayern Munich sporting director Chrisoph Freund was nevertheless thrilled to have got a deal over the line with Bischof in January, saying: ‘Tom is one of Germany’s best young players.

‘He’s already gained a lot of experience at professional level at the age of 19. Tom is the ideal fit to our approach as a midfielder confident on the ball.

‘We’re delighted he’s decided to take the next step at Bayern. Tom has all it takes to establish himself at the highest level.’
