Revamp and Refresh Small Grants Scheme for Mid and East Antrim

Revamp and Refresh Small Grants Scheme for Mid and East Antrim

This scheme is open to town centre businesses currently trading in Ballymena, Carrickfergus, and Larne

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council’s Revamp and Refresh Small Grants Scheme is a small grant to fund internal improvements, fixtures, and branding of business premises. 

Town Centre businesses in Ballymena, Carrickfergus, and Larne are eligible to apply. 

The grant can cover 80% of the cost of eligible items or works up to a maximum of £1,000 per business. The minimum level of grant funding to be awarded is £200. 

Scheme details 

Example of improvements that can be funded include 

  • painting, flooring, lighting
  • shelving, mirrors, merchandising stands
  • uniforms, window displays, internal signage 

Eligible sectors include 

  • hospitality
  • retail
  • hair and beauty
  • health and fitness
  • independent services
  • charity shops
  • independent professional services (for example, finance, estate agents, solicitors, opticians etc) 

The scheme closes at 5pm on Tuesday 20 January 2026, subject to availability of funds.
