Wales dual-code rugby winger Regan Grace will play his first match since March when he lines up for Sale Sharks in the Prem Rugby Cup on Saturday.
Grace, 28, has been without a club since leaving Cardiff at the end of last season, but he has been training with Sale since the summer.
He has not been given a contract by the Prem club but he will play as a trialist in the match away to his former club Bath, albeit in a much-changed Sharks starting line-up.
Before switching to rugby union with Racing 92 in France, Grace had been a star in rugby league with St Helens where he scored close to 100 tries and won three Grand Finals and the Challenge Cup.
“Regan’s a great lad and we’ve really enjoyed having him around since the summer,” said, external Sale’s kicking coach Warren Spragg.
“There’s a special player in there. You can’t score that many Super League tries and not having something about you.”
