From university friends to husband and wife, Louise and Tim celebrated their wedding at Glewstone Court on Sunday 18th of June 2023. They chose to celebrate their love at this beautiful Georgian country house wedding venue, surrounded by 65 of their closest friends and family. Read on to find out more about their elegant wedding day which features a gorgeous Pronovias wedding gown, a timeless, neutral colour palette and a heartfelt first look.
About The Bride and Groom
Louise and Tim first met at sixth form, however, the couple’s love story began when their paths crossed again at Cardiff University and their friendship blossomed into something more profound. After six years together, they decided it was time to take the next step in their journey and get married. After one year of planning, they celebrated their love at Glewstone Court.
The Wedding Venue
Glewstone Court Country House served as the picturesque backdrop for Louise and Tim’s big day. They were drawn to the venue’s eye-catching Georgian exterior and stunning grounds, providing the ideal setting for their intimate celebration and plenty of beautiful backdrops for their wedding photos.
The ceremony room was full of natural light and looked amazing without decoration, which was a real bonus. The neutral colour scheme of white, cream and green for the decor was a timeless and classic touch that elevated the venue’s effortless beauty. The couple said that the team at Glewstone Court were extremely welcoming, which made booking and planning the wedding a dream.
The Wedding Breakfast
Thanks to the Glewstone Court’s in house catering team, the bride, groom and their wedding guests were treated to a delicious three-course wedding breakfast. The menu featured dishes like candied golden beetroot salad, braised Hereford beef, and vanilla panna cotta; it was a hit with everyone!
The Wedding Dress and Wedding Party Fashion
Louise looked stunning in her Pronovias off-white silk satin wedding dress, purchased from Silk Brides Lichfield. The elegant fit and flare silhouette was perfect for achieving a timeless style. The bride accessorised her wedding look with jewellery from Lily & Roo and shoes from JJ’s House, all of which complemented her chosen style perfectly.
Tim looked dashing in his custom-made three-piece midnight navy suit by Colmore Tailors. His shoes from Dune and tie and pocket square from Next helped complete his sophisticated look.
With four bridesmaids and four groomsmen, their bridal party was both stylish and elegant. The bridesmaids wore ASOS EDITION satin cami maxi dresses in sage green. The best man (Tim’s brother) matched Tim in a custom suit while the other 3 groomsmen wore navy suits hired from Peter Posh Birmingham.
Big Day Highlights
Louise’s favourite moment came before the ceremony when she shared a private first look with Tim. She saw her husband-to-be welling up with joy and the photos of the moment are truly heartwarming. During the ceremony they read their heartfelt vows in front of their 65 closest friends and family, ensuring that their wedding ceremony was a personal and emotional moment.
Tim’s favourite moment was towards the end of the night when all of his family and close friends partied away on the dance floor, celebrating in style! To make the wedding reception even more special, the DJ was Adam Pyzer, who is one of Tim’s brother’s childhood best friends.
The Honeymoon
Louise and Tim embarked on a delightful minimoon to York right after the wedding where they stayed at No.1 Guesthouse York. They also planned a romantic honeymoon in Tuscany in September. They will spent one week staying at Torre a Cona, an 18th century villa that has its own vineyard. Additionally, they spent some time in beautiful Florence, tasting lots of different wine – sounds divine!
