Rasmus Hojlund has taken to social media to make a cheeky dig towards Kyle Walker following the Manchester derby.
United ultimately walked away with bragging rights over their fierce rivals on Sunday, as Amad Diallo inspired the visitors to a dramatic comeback in the closing stages.
The result marks the latest blow in the midst of City’s dismal run of form, with the club now with just one win in their last 11 games in all competitions.
After victory was secured, Hojlund decided to take aim at City captain Walker after an incident between the pair occurred during the game.
Shortly after City took the lead through Josko Gvardiol, Walker brought down the Hojlund as he looked to put his side on the counter.
The pair then clashed on the pitch, coming head-to-head before Walker cynically fell down to the ground.
TV replays later revealed that no significant contact between the pair had prompted Walker’s collapse, and both men were booked for their involvement in the incident.
Gary Neville and Roy Keane were among those to criticise the England international for his behaviour with both calling Walker’s actions ’embarrassing’.
In a post on Instagram following the game, Hojlund shared a photo of the incident and echoed a similar sentiment in his caption.
He wrote: Manchester is red, violets are blue. What a brilliant performance, but the Oscar goes to…’
