Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has hinted his future could be away from the team after their playoff loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
The 31-year-old spoke to ESPN a day after his team’s loss in snowy Philadelphia and suggested that his future in Los Angeles is far from certain.
‘I feel like I’ve got a lot of good football left in me. I’ll be playing football next year. That much I know,’ he said.
‘Who knows what’s going to happen. That’s out of my control. And we will see what it’s going to be.
‘I don’t have any clarity on what that’s going to look like or anything like that. So yeah, obviously would love to be in L.A., but I don’t know what that’s going to look like.’
Kupp admitted he was frustrated that his team didn’t go further in the playoffs and said on a personal level, he had more to offer than what people saw on the field.

‘There’s all these things you’re weathering through offensively, things that I feel like, man, we should be better than the product we’re putting out there in terms of the production and the points that are being scored,’ Kupp was quoted as saying.
‘And then just for me personally feeling like, man, there’s things, I’m watching film, feeling good about football and playing, but productionwise it’s not showing up.
‘And a lot of stuff’s outside of my control. And it is frustrating.’
Kupp’s words come a day after his teammate, quarterback Matthew Stafford, hinted he could retire.
Speaking in the locker room, the quarterback, 36, was non-committal when asked about his future with the franchise.
‘As far as my future goes, it’s 30 minutes after the last game so I’ll take some time to think about it,’ he told reporters. ‘But I feel like I was playing some pretty good ball.’
Stafford was then asked whether he had ‘good football’ remaining, to which he answered in the affirmative.
‘Sure feels like it,’ he said.
