If the sight of non-stop rain has you itching to book your next holiday, you’re in luck: The Independent’s team of deal-hunters is here to share the very best Qatar Airways discounts. Whether you’re looking for a sunny getaway in Cape Town or a jam-packed adventure in New York, it’s always worth seeing if there are discounts to be had, and the deals listed here could help you save on your next trip.

Get 10 per cent off your next flight

An easy way to get 10 per cent off flights is by registering for the Qatar Airways newsletter. Not only will you receive a promo code for Qatar Airways first-time bookings, you’ll get regular offers and exclusive savings straight to your inbox. It’s a handy way to stay updated on ways to save when a code isn’t available, but if you don’t fancy getting marketing emails, you can just unsubscribe once you’ve claimed your welcome discount.

Save up to 20 per cent with a Qatar Airways F1 promo code

Eager to watch the next Formula 1 season live? You can get up to 20 per cent off flights to any city hosting a 2026 F1 race, using the promo code above. This deal includes economy, business class and first class seats to races. Plus, Privilege Club members can earn bonus Avios (2,000 in economy and 4,000 in business and first class).

Right now, the airline and holiday provider is offering the Qatar Airways F1 package, where fans can combine return flights, hotel stays and three-day race tickets, including pit lane access and driver appearances, for the Qatar Grand Prix.

Join the Qatar Airways student club

Students, we recommend taking advantage of the airline’s student club to get 10 per cent off when you join, 15 per cent off after your first journey and 20 per cent off after your second. You’ll also get extra baggage allowance and complimentary wifi.

Student club members also get to fast-track their Privilege Club tier when they graduate, by flying at least once a year while studying.

Plus, Students can enjoy added benefits such as an extra 10kg baggage allowance or an extra piece of luggage, depending on the route. This can save you upwards of £20 on extra luggage fees.

Business class travel is often discounted by 12 per cent for Privilege Club members (Qatar Airways)

Stopover perks with Discover Qatar

Joining the Qatar Airways student club doesn’t just save you money on flights, it also offers unique travel experiences. Case in point: if your stopover is in Doha for more than six hours, you can join a free Doha city tour or book discounted stopovers. Or if you just want to relax by the sea, enjoy 20 per cent off entry to the vibrant Doha Beach Club when you pre-book online.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club

If you’re not a Privelege Club member yet, you can sign up for free and you’ll become eligible for a variety of additional benefits – such as extra baggage, upgrades, discounts and more, as you climb the membership levels with each booking. Here’s the low-down.

Enjoy Qatar Airways deals when you join the Privilege Club

Always wanted to travel in luxury? Enjoy business class trips, which are often discounted by up to 12 per cent for Privilege Club members. Destinations include Sydney, Singapore, the Maldives, Beijing and Osaka, and you’ll enjoy a whole new level of comfort on your flight. The type of business cabin and seat varies with each aircraft, so be mindful of this when booking. Select planes will be equipped with Qsuite – Qatar Airways’ business class suites that enable you to lie flat on a bed, sit up and work, or indulge in in-flight luxuries.

Your Qatar Airways Privilege Club membership will offer you many other perks, too. You’ll gain exclusive access to VIP events, enjoy rewards when shopping with brand partners and, of course, be able to book flights at discounted prices. Currently, there are a variety of fantastic promo codes to cut down costs, including savings of up to 12 per cent on selected travel and a brilliant deal of up to 8 per cent off Australia flights.

Earn bonus Avios points to unlock more Qatar Airways deals

When you register for the Privilege Club, you can redeem an exclusive code and earn up to 4,000 bonus Avios following your first flight. There are four membership tiers, each with a range of added benefits.

  • Burgundy: Get 10 per cent off seat selection
  • Silver: Enjoy lounge access, 15kg extra baggage allowance and shop at Qatar duty free with your Avios
  • Gold: Get QCredits for upgrades and an extra 20kg baggage allowance
  • Platinum: Get 25kg extra baggage and priority privileges for a more luxurious journey

Qpoints help you move up tiers and unlock more perks on Qatar Airways flights, such as seat selection discounts, cash or avios payments and upgrade options.

Baggage

Your baggage allowance will vary depending on the flight you book and what class you’re travelling but, typically, flights to and from all destinations with economy lite fares include 20kg of luggage, 25kg for standard fares, 30kg for economy convenience and 35kg for economy comfort. You’ll also always get one piece of 7kg hand luggage.

If you do want to add more, you can save up to 20 per cent when you pre-book additional baggage online (up to six hours before departure) or up to 70 per cent when booking in bulk.

Wifi access

Get up to 20 per cent off wifi when pre-purchased before flights on aircraft not equipped with complimentary Starlink wifi. Privilege Club members receive one hour free, while student club members get unlimited access.

Qatar Airways holidays

Book a holiday package and save up to 30 per cent, plus you will earn Avios on every booking. There are more than 200,000 hotels to choose from worldwide, so you won’t be short for options.

How do I redeem a Qatar Airways discount code?

  1. Click the “See code” button on your chosen offer to reveal and copy it.
  2. You’ll be redirected automatically to the Qatar Airways website to complete your booking, or you can continue your booking on your original browser tab or app.
  3. Paste your code into the designated promo code box and apply to see your discount applied.

When is the best time to book cheap Qatar Airways flights?

You could save up to 10 per cent by booking a last-minute Qatar Airways flight. However, travel writer Amelia Neath recently found out that the “magic” booking day is Sunday, with fares typically around 22 per cent cheaper than booking on a Friday.

That said, while Sunday may be the cheapest day to book, it’s often one of the most expensive days to travel. For international trips, Fridays tend to offer the best value for departure, coming in at roughly 14 per cent cheaper on average.

How do I become a Qatar Airways privilege member?

You can join the Privilege Club by setting up an account online. You’ll automatically enter the Burgundy tier, from which you can start earning your way up to unlock additional perks and benefits.

How can I get free Qatar Airways wifi?

You can enjoy complimentary high-speed Starlink wifi on B777 or A350 aircrafts to more than 56 countries. If your flight doesn’t have Starlink, you can purchase on-board wifi and save 20 per cent by pre-purchasing before you fly.

Here at The Independent, we dedicate ourselves to carefully sourcing the best deals, sales and discounts, so that you can shop smart. We track prices throughout the year, so we can spot a good deal from a dud. We have years of experience in working across annual sales events and only recommend deals from brands that we love.
