The top half of the table…
Here’s the current top half of the Premier League before we get into things.
Sure, the title race may look over, but there is plenty to play for elsewhere. Including the hunt for a Champions League spot.
You would assume Arsenal and Manchester City have a firm hold on two of those spots – and Aston Villa too, who are eight points clear of Liverpool in sixth. It’s very likely that fifth will again be enough to qualify.
Then we have United, Chelsea, and Liverpool. Two of those teams are in action tonight – Liverpool tomorrow – and they could put serious markers down in terms of their ambitions.
I think all the pressure is on Arne Slot’s side, to be honest.
