A £10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of a man described as one of Britain’s most wanted fugitives in connection with two murders more than 20 years ago.

Kevin Parle, from Liverpool, is suspected by Merseyside Police of shooting dead 16-year-old Liam Kelly in 2004 and Lucy Hargreaves, 22, a year later.

Now aged 45, he has been on the run since 2005. There have been reports of him in Spain, Australia and Dubai but no confirmed sightings or substantial leads.

The reward has been offered by Crimestoppers, an independent charity that allows people to report crime anonymously.

Merseyside Police told the there were no new updates in the case.

Mr Kelly was shot in the chest and arm in the early hours of 19 June 2004 in his home in Dingle, Liverpool as he tried to run away and get inside a property.

He died at the scene from his injuries.

Ms Hargreaves was asleep on the sofa when three men burst into her home in Walton, Liverpool, on 3 August 2005 and killed her.

They then set fire to the home in Lambourne Road, with Ms Hargreaves’ partner and two-year-old daughter, who were upstairs, having to escape through a window.

Police arrested 21 people as part of their investigations, but no-one has been convicted.

The charity described Parle as about 6ft 5in tall with red hair and a stocky build.

Gary Murray, from Crimestoppers, said: “We know there are people who may know where Kevin Parle is. It’s time to do the right thing.

“Our guarantee of anonymity means you will never be identified by anyone, and your information could help bring justice and solace to those who have suffered for the last 20 years.”
