A Pennsylvania woman was arrested after an 8-year-old girl was found suffering a seizure in a car after allegedly drinking bleach.
Lisa Miller, 60, has been accused of failing to seek medical treatment for her child following a visit to Big Bear Lake Camplands in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia.
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Kaylee Barnhart told CBS Pittsburgh that other campers contacted authorities about the girl’s condition before Miller fled with her child from the scene.
The vehicle was located by state police in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, after they were contacted by Preston County emergency personnel at around 4 p.m. on Monday.
The girl was found unresponsive in the rear seat and was suffering a seizure, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the outlet. She was subsequently rushed to Uniontown Hospital before being flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital.
The girl was in critical condition at the time. Police confirmed to Action News 4 that the as-yet unnamed girl is on life support.

Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele revealed to CBS Pittsburgh that investigators made a series of concerning discoveries during their probe into the case.
“We found a dog leash that may have been used to tie the girl up at one point; she was wearing multiple seatbelts,” Aubele said. “We found some other things very disturbing. Bruises all over her body.”
Aubele added, “It seemed that somebody was taking measures to cover up the bruises with some type of lotion. Again, just horrific allegations.”
According to Aubele, the girl’s 15-year-old brother provided authorities with videos documenting the alleged abuse. The teenage boy also saw his sister vomiting blood and claimed that her condition worsened during the drive from Big Bear Lake Camplands.

According to a complaint obtained by CBS Pittsburgh, the brother had suggested to his mother that she should take his sister to the hospital. Miller allegedly responded by saying that she planned to take the girl home to “lock her up”.
The teenager also noticed that his sister was unresponsive and claims that the bruises on her body were the result of Miller striking her.
While driving back, Miller failed to stop at two hospitals, the complaint alleges.
Speaking about the case, Barnhart, the trooper, said: “We are extremely grateful for the family that made the phone call to 911 because this outcome could have been a lot different if Lisa Miller made it home and did not get stopped.”
Court documents obtained by Action News 4 state that Miller has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She is being held in Fayette County Prison.
