The NFL has released its nominees for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, and the group is headlined by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes – among one player from every other team.
The award, as noted by the league’s website, ‘recognizes an NFL player for his excellence on and off the field’ and their commitment to philanthropy.
And Mahomes has been recognized again after being nominated last year too.
The otherworldly passer serves kids in underserved communities with his 15 and The Mahomies Foundation, which he founded in 2019.
Also included on the list of 32 nominees are Rams receiver Cooper Kupp, Giants running back Saquon Barkley and Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby.
Other big names include the Ravens’ Roquan Smith, the Cowboys’ DeMarcus Lawrence and the Eagles’ Lane Johnson.

Meanwhile, all 32 nominees also receive up to a $55,000 donation to a charity of choice as well, according to the league.
The award was won last year by Dak Prescott.
Other recent winners include J.J. Watt (2017) and Russell Wilson (2020), while former Rams offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth won in 2021.
Mahomes and the Chiefs will look to get back on track vs. the Bills this weekend after losing to the Packers.
