Part of the M60 in Greater Manchester are closed after a lorry crashed through the central reservation barrier and hit several vehicles on the opposite carriageway.
The motorway was shut in both directions between Junction 16 at Pendlebury and Junction 15 at the M61 Swinton Interchange after the crash which happened just before 20:00 GMT on Thursday, National Highways said.
It said all emergency works had now been completed and the anti-clockwise carriageway reopened earlier.
However, the M60 remains closed clockwise between Junction 16 and Junction 15 at the M61 Swinton Interchange.

There are diversions in place taking traffic off the M60 clockwise.
The routes around Swinton, Farnworth, Worsley and Walkden are expected to be much busier than usual.
