Overnight work is to be carried out on the A5112 Hereford Road in Shrewsbury from 14 to 16 July [2025].
The work involves relocating street lighting columns and undertaking road resurfacing as part of the Bellway Homes development Section 278 agreement.
From 8pm on Monday 14 July to 7am on Tuesday 15 July 2025, operatives working on behalf of Shannonside will undertake the street lighting column works, with temporary multi-way traffic signals in place for safety reasons.
Throughout this time period the permanent traffic signals at the new junction / entrance to the Bellway Homes site will be temporarily switched off.
Then from 8.30pm on Tuesday 15 July to 6.30an on Wednesday 16 July, resurfacing will be carried out on the Hereford Road dual carriageway (between Dobbies Roundabout and the Pulley Lane junction) with the road closed to traffic traveling in a northbound direction. Access to residential properties and businesses will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for affected traffic.
Advanced warning signs will be erected on site two weeks before work commences, and all affected residents and businesses will be notified directly.
