Former late-night host Conan O’Brien is preparing for the ultimate NFL fan experience after agreeing to a wild initiation into the Buffalo Bills Mafia.
The comedian has promised to jump through a flaming table during a 2026 Buffalo Bills home game, provided he receives some medical assistance first.
The agreement was struck during O’Brien’s recent appearance on the New Heights podcast, hosted by legendary NFL brothers Jason and Travis Kelce.
During the episode, Jason Kelce – an honorary member of the Bills Mafia – offered to host O’Brien at the Bills’ new stadium for the full fan experience.
‘We would be honored to host you to (the) Bills Mafia. Buffalo, New York,’ Jason Kelce, an honorary Bills Mafia member, told the former late-night host.
‘We’re going to inject you with Toradol and we’re going to send you through a flaming table. I think you’d be very excited for this.’

O’Brien, 62, became fascinated by the effects of the pain-masking drug after the brothers explained how it allows NFL athletes to play through injuries.
‘Okay, I’m there. Guys, I’m not kidding. I will promise you this right now on the air,’ O’Brien said. ‘I’ll meet you anywhere, anytime.
‘I want a professional doctor to inject me with Toradol and then I will jump through something. I promise you. This is not a bit. I think that would be so much fun.’
O’Brien joked that the entire experience would be chronicled on video, even if it ended with the Kelce brothers visiting him in a local hospital.
‘This is going to happen,’ O’Brien reiterated. ‘We’re going to shoot it. There’s going to be video. It’s gonna go viral and then you guys can come visit me in the hospital.’
While O’Brien is not a Bills fan, the allure of the infamous Bills Mafia tailgate culture proved too much for the veteran entertainer to turn down.
The timing of the stunt is particularly notable, as the Buffalo Bills are scheduled to move into their brand-new, state-of-the-art stadium in 2026.
Travis Kelce was quick to point out that his Kansas City Chiefs are slated to play in Buffalo next year, adding even more hype to the potential visit.
While Travis may be on the field during the game, he expressed a desire to be part of O’Brien’s ‘Mafia’ experience in some capacity before kickoff.
In 2024, a visiting Detroit Lions fan was seen catching himself on fire after jumping through a flaming table in the Highmark Stadium parking lot
The Bills Mafia has gained national fame for their high-energy tailgates, which frequently involve fans diving off vehicles and through collapsible tables.
Though he spent the entirety of his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles, Jason Kelce became an honorary member of the Bills Mafia after his antics in recent years.
In October 2024, Kelce joined Bills fans, before their game against the Jets, and sparked chaos by downing drinks with fans before his commentary duties for ESPN.
Kelce wore a Fred Flintstone costume and a Bills helmet outside the stadium as he drank from a bowling ball in the parking lot.
While the ball appeared filled with Gatorade, the MNF commentator jokingly said: ‘Hope you guys snuck some [alcohol] in there.’
O’Brien hosted late-night programming for nearly three decades before transitioning to his hit podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, in 2018.
On Sunday night, the 62-year-old will host the 98th Academy Awards, which is set to take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
