Aussie motorsport star Oscar Piastri has slammed Williams driver Carlos Sainz after the pair had an on-track collision at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Piastri, 25, failed to finish the race in Budapest as a result of a gearbox issue several laps after the prang with Sainz.
The Williams driver was shown the blue flags and should have moved out of Piastri’s way.
But unfortunately for the Aussie, Sainz later claimed he ‘didn’t see him’ tagging the McLaren and damaging his car.
In the immediate aftermath of the incident, Piastri angrily said on the team radio: ‘Get out of the f*****g way you idiot! Oh my god.’
The Aussie star started the race third on the grid – but found himself in the lead by the end of the opening lap.

In addition to fuming at the Williams driver, Piastri was also left seething at his own team for leaving him vulnerable.
‘Oh mate, it’s better you don’t f****** talk to me right now,’ Piastri said on his team radio.
‘Nice of you guys to factor that one (Sainz being nearby when he returned to the track after pitting) in by the way, thanks.’
Piastri also took aim at Sainz during the post-race interview.
He described the move as ‘unacceptable’ and ‘one of the dumbest things’ he’d ever seen in racing.
‘He’s quite critical of others, and others have given him stick before for being frustrating on track,’ Piastri said.

‘When you go and do something like that I think maybe you should look in the mirror a bit.’
In the end, Piastri was forced to DNF from the race following a gearbox issue, at the same track where he claimed his first Grand Prix win.
His teammate, on the other hand, claimed his best result of the season, with Lando Norris beating out Max Verstappen and Kimi Antonelli to the chequered flag.
The race saw Norris claim his first Grand Prix win as a world champion, and Max Verstappen enjoy a podium finish, despite raging about his car throughout.
Kimi Antonelli still leads the drivers’ championship, with Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton 50 points behind in second place.
