Sha’Carri Richardson has quickly bounced back from the controversy of her domestic violence arrest, starring in a new big-money Nike campaign for Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS range.
The 100m sprint star was detained at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in July after attacking her boyfriend – fellow Olympian Christian Coleman – in a moment caught on security footage.
The 25-year-old was arrested on a fourth-degree domestic violence offense and was held in custody for more than 18 hours.
But despite the controversy over her private life, it appears her commercial value has not dipped, and she was front and center of the new SKIMS range.
Nike published a series of photos on Monday including the likes of Kardashian, Richardson and tennis icon Serena Williams, all posing in the new range.
Also included were golf’s world No 1 Nelly Korda, gymnast Jordan Chiles and snowboarder Chloe Kim.

Alongside her photo, Richardson commented: ‘Wearing NikeSKIMS makes me feel confident and unrestricted.
‘I feel fierce knowing I can look and feel this good while working hard.’
In her July arrest, security footage showed Richardson slamming Coleman up against a support column, shoving him and bumping into him several times.
An alternate angle appeared to show her throwing something – possibly headphones – at Coleman’s head.
At the time, Nike stood by Richardson and continued to carry her image at the top of their website, and the sprinter herself took to Instagram to apologize for the incident.
‘More than anything, definitely a lot of self reflection, a lot of understanding of not only putting myself in a compromising situation with somebody that I have a deep care and appreciation for as well, is something that — holding myself accountable,’ Richardson said in a minute-plus video posted to her account.

‘I’m taking this time to not only see myself but get myself a certain level of help that overall is going to reflect who I truly am in my heart and in my spirit and not allowing this moment, but accepting this moment to be more.
‘So my only thing is, I want to be more — not just only for myself, for my family, my fans. I overly appreciate y’all supporting me and showing love and even holding me accountable to being my best self.
‘So more than anything, I refused to run away … but face everything that comes to me head-on because everything on the other side is greater but you gotta go through in order to get there.’
In a separate post to her story, she publicly apologized to Coleman, saying, ‘I apologize to Christian. He came into my life & gave me more than a relationship but a greater understanding of unconditional love from what I’ve experienced in my past.
‘Due to my past trauma & pain, I was blind & blocked off to not only receive it but give it. I love him & to him I can’t apologize enough. My apologize [sic] should be just as loud as my actions honestly louder. To Christian I love you & I am so sorry.’
