  • Max King named to start in do-or-die game three
  • Bulldogs prop is having the best season of his career

NSW Blues star Max King is to be a father again, with his glamorous wife Christy due in December.

It comes ahead of the biggest footy game of the prop’s life – the Origin series decider in Sydney on July 9.

‘Here we grow again… Our baby girl coming December,’ Christy King posted on Instagram on Monday.

Among the well-wishers were his Canterbury and NSW teammate Stephen Crichton’s wife Leone and the Bulldogs, King’s NRL club.

In June last year, Max and Christy announced the arrival of their first child, a baby boy named Hercules.

And back in October 2023, the front-rower and his new bride exchanged vows at Curzon Hall in Sydney, surrounded by family and friends.

The couple, who met at church on the Gold Coast, famously abstained from sex during their engagement as Christians.

‘We are so loud and proud about our faith… it’s never been something we’ve shied away from because it is so important to us,’ Christy previously told 2DayFM’s Hughesy, Ed and Erin radio show.

‘We spoke about it (remaining celibate) early on… on the first or second date.

‘Christian dating 101 is you’re not wasting anyone’s time, it’s a conversation we didn’t shy away from and honestly we’ve seen such fruit from it in our relationship in terms of communication… it’s just so good.’

King also admitted she was initially hesitant about their relationship given her husband’s profession.

‘When I met him I was like, ‘oh you’re a footy player, red flag, what have I got myself into,” she said.

‘For sure [his teammates are supportive]….but when we first started dating they were like, ‘as if you guys are’ [abstaining from sex].

‘I feel so blessed to have met Max… we are the puzzle pieces that fit together and it’s all down to God,’ said the glamorous model.

King made his NRL debut with the Gold Coast Titans in 2017, before moving to the Melbourne Storm two years later.

He then joined the Bulldogs in 2022, and has been a key figure in the impressive rebuild under coach Cameron Ciraldo.

The English born star was handed an opportunity by NSW Blues coach Laurie Daley ahead of game one this year – and has held his own in the representative arena.
