Nottingham Panthers have announced that they will are retiring their No 47 jersey as a tribute to Adam Johnson following his death.
Johnson was pronounced dead after a collision with Sheffield Steelers player Matt Petgrave during a game last month.
The news was announced in a post on Panthers’ social media. ‘We are humbled to announce that we will be retiring Adam Johnson’s #47 jersey. Forever our 47.’
