Festive fun continues
How are the food comas, everyone?
I’m genuinely just coming out of mine from Christmas Day, I don’t think I will be able to eat anything for a week (it didn’t help that I ransacked the picky bits yesterday, too).
How these football players are able to go and play intense elite sport at this time of year always baffles me. Like how? When you bust a lung to get to the ball, how are you not getting stitches from all the mince pies and chocolate?
Well, many of the players have had an extra day to get over their Christmas puds due to the lack of a Boxing Day bonanza this year. The 27th is the big day for Premier League footie in 2025 (and yes, it does feel weird).
We start what can only be described as a blockbuster day at the City Ground, with Sean Dyche’s somewhat revamped Nottingham Forest hosting Manchester City, who are looking to go top of the table.
