NFL quarterback drowns his sorrows with airport beer after being cut for the SEVENTH time in his career

Typically overpriced with limited selection, the airport beer experience isn’t often recommended in travel guides.

One journeyman NFL quarterback sees this as an oversight.

‘Not many beers better than the airport “I just got cut from the NFL for the 7th time” beer,’ Ben DiNucci wrote on X alongside of picture of the one he was enjoying on his way out of Atlanta. ‘Trust me, you wouldn’t understand.’

The former James Madison star and seventh-round NFL Draft pick was recently signed by the Atlanta Falcons as coach Raheem Morris rested starter Michael Penix Jr. and backup Kirk Cousins throughout the preseason that ended Friday night in Dallas.

DiNucci attempted two passes in the game, both of which fell incomplete. The following day, as was expected, he was given his walking papers.

But the 28-year-old wasn’t feeling sorry for himself. Asked by one follower if he’d tried crying, DiNucci kept things in perspective.

‘What is there to cry about?’ he asked. ‘I’ve had a 5 year NFL career and played on Sunday night football. Pretty cool if you ask me.’

DiNucci once started for the Cowboys against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020 after fill-in starter Andy Dalton was placed into the concussion protocol. Unfortunately for the Pittsburgh-area native, he completed just 21 of 40 passes and lost a pair of fumbles as he was sacked four times in the loss.

Since then, DiNucci has taken the Seattle Sea Dragons to the XFL playoffs before a few training camp invites and stints on various NFL practice squads.

In three NFL games, DiNucci tossed for 219 yards without surrendering an interception or throwing a touchdown pass.

And though it all, he’s managed to keep his sense of humor, as he showed online.

Told by one fan that ‘not even NFL Hall of Famers can say they have been cut 7 times,’ DiNucci once again kept things in perspective.

‘This is fair,’ he joked. ‘In a league of my own.’

DiNucci has $1.2 million in career earnings, but that doesn’t include the pocket money he’s been adding on Cameo, where he’s among the celebrities making personalized videos for fans.

‘Ben DiNucci has become a fan-favorite thanks to the hilarious and heartwarming personalized videos they create for their loyal supporters,’ read his website bio. ‘Whether it’s wishing someone a happy birthday, roasting their fantasy league, or delivering a motivational pep talk, Ben has a knack for capturing the recipient’s personality and delivering it with their signature charm and wit.’

DiNucci plugged his cameo page again late Saturday, writing: ‘Still firing off cameos for fantasy football draft orders If you need someone who is a man of the people then I’m your guy.’

Best of all, DiNucci’s video messages are just $65.

As for his next endeavor, DiNucci hinted at something on the horizon in an online exchange with NFL reporter Ed Werder.

‘Thanks Ed ! Appreciate it. Excited to share what is next for me.’
