The Philadelphia Eagles special-teams unit came up clutch again to block a possible Joshua Karty game-winner for the Los Angeles Rams to complete the comeback and improve to 3-0.

Karty had the chance to boot through a 44-yard field goal to give the Rams the victory. The kicker was 4-of-5 on the day in Philadelphia, having his only miss blocked a few drives earlier.

The kick was blocked by Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis, who eventually scoops up the loose ball and returned it for a walk-off touchdown to keep Philadelphia undefeated.

The Eagles scored the final 26 points of the game unanswered after trailing the Rams at home 26-7 in the third quarter.

Philadelphia, including the postseason, has now won 19 of its last 20 games, with its only loss being during the 2024 regular season against the Washington Commanders.

The Rams are no longer undefeated after the kick was blocked, nearly taking down the defending Super Bowl champions in a rematch from last season’s Divisional round.

Per NFL Next Gen stats, Davis reached a top speed of 18.59 miles per hour on the return, the fastest speed by a player who is billed at more than 330 pounds since at least 2017.

For the first two quarters of the game, Los Angeles appeared to have the perfect strategy to expose weak points in the defending Super Bowl champions.

More to come.
