NFL fans delivered a resounding verdict after they were treated to a brand new feature on NBC’s coverage of Sunday Night Football.
During the Chargers-Patriots game on Wild Card Weekend, which New England won 16-3 to reach the Divisional Round, fans got a look at NBC’s latest scorebug.
The network have traditionally been praised by NFL fans for their sleek looking scorebugs and, judging by the reaction online, it’s safe to say they delivered again.
The latest on-screen graphic kept the network’s circular clock feature in the center and had a glossy, rounded look – changing the ends from rectangles to curved edges.
It didn’t take long for NFL fans to notice the changes and they quickly rushed to social media to deliver their verdicts.
Taking to X, one fan wrote: ‘NBC absolutely cooked with their new scorebug’.

‘New scorebug for NBC. I approve. Clear, nice size logos, down marker for the team on offense,’ another pleased fan wrote.
One fan posted a timeline of NBC’s scorebugs and said: ‘NBC has been on a generational run with their scorebugs. It’s a sight to see’.
‘Immediately think NBC is the best score bug of any network,’ another wrote.
‘NBC has the best NFL Playoff score bug so far,’ one said.
The network will also broadcast Super Bowl LX on February 8th, where the new scorebug will be in use.
NBC Sports Coordinating Producer Rob Hyland told SVG News: ‘The scorebar that you’ll see on Sunday in the Wild Card game will be scorebar for the Super Bowl.
‘I want out team to get a couple of reps with it’.

In the game itself, the Patriots stormed to victory after a resolute showing from the defensive unit – who sacked Chargers QB Justin Herbert six times on Sunday.
This marks the third playoff loss in three starts for Herbert in his career, who was sacked a shocking six times on the night for a loss of 39 yards.
He only completed 19-of-31 passes for a paltry 159 yards while also rushing ten times for 57 yards.
Patriots star Drake Maye, on the other hand, completed 17-of-29 passes for 268 yards, one touchdown and an early interception.
