NFL star Puka Nacua has made another attempt at inviting actress Sydney Sweeney on a date and it’s fair to say that fans are less than impressed.
The LA Rams wide receiver went viral after he declared he wanted to go on a date with Sweeney following an interview she gave about her new line of lingerie.
After revealing to Cosmopolitan that her dream man would be willing to ‘climb a mountain’ or ‘go skydiving with me’, Nacua swiftly gave a viral response.
‘Love skydiving,’ he wrote in a post on X which sent fans into meltdown before, days later, joking that ‘reservations’ were in place for them to go skydiving.
He swiftly backtracked on those comments but, just a few days on from that incident, Nacua doubled down on his intentions to go on a date with Sweeney and revealed them during an interview with Kay Adams.
Adams asked the NFL star: ‘Did you ever think that Tweet would get as much publicity as it did?’

‘No, not at all,’ Nacua began. ‘My awareness skills were at zero. I don’t regret it at all. I would still love to go skydiving. I’m not going to pass that opportunity up.
He then issued a message down the camera to a number of Rams executives and Euphoria actress Sweeney.
He said: ‘Mr Sneed, Mr Demoff and Mr Pastoors – I love you guys all so much. Maui is waiting for us. They have a plane and we’re going to fly over an island. Me, you and my plus one will all be able to jump out of the plane’.
In response, Adams shouted Sweeney’s name, which drew a smile from the Rams star.
The clip swiftly began doing the rounds on social media, however, fans were not impressed that Nakua made another attempt at dating the actress.
‘this is getting weirder by the interview,’ one fan wrote in X in response to the clip.
‘Such a weird thing to talk about. Can we talk about football instead of this s***? Such a joke Kay Adams,’ another user said.
Another wrote: ‘Listening this dude sounds like he has maybe 2 f***ing brain cells’.
The 24-year-old is believed to be single at present but has a baby boy with his ex-girlfriend Hallie Aiono, who was born in October.

Nacua was involved in some legal drama when Aiono launched a petition to determine that her baby was the NFL star’s, but they seemed to put that behind them by the time he was born.
Nacua was pictured alongside Aiono in hospital when she gave birth and said on Instagram he was ‘proud’ of Aiono for bringing his son into the world.
But the Rams wide receiver wasn’t the only NFL player making his move in public.
The Buffalo Bills running back Ray Davis retweeted the same quotes from the Hollywood actress and wrote: ‘I can probly add skydiving to my bucket list’.
