Man is charged after allegedly attempting to sexually assault a woman in the early hours of the morning

A man has been charged after allegedly attempting to sexually assault a woman in the early hours of the morning. 

A man allegedly attempted to sexually assault the woman on Mitchell Street at North Bondi, in Sydney, at 3.40am on Friday.

Police launched a search before arresting a 35-year-old man a day later during a routine traffic stop on Doncaster Avenue, Kensington, at about 4.30pm on Saturday.

A man has been charged after allegedly attempting to sexually assault a woman in the early hours of the morning 

The man, who is from Randwick, was taken to Waverley Police Station and charged with five offences.

Attempted sexual assault without consent, sexually touch person without consent and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm were among the charges.

He was also charged with common assault and wilful and obscene exposure in/near public place/school.

He was refused bail and was due to appear in Parramatta Bail court on Sunday.
