School children are rushed to hospital with mystery illness after eating lollies on a bus in Queensland
At least 20 children are suffering from a mystery illness after eating candy on a school bus in Townsville.
The children, from Bluewater State School, are aged between seven and 12, with six rushed to hospital, while another 16 are being assesed by paramedics.
The children are suffering from vomiting, diarrhoea and intestinal pain.
The incident is being investigated by police after paramedics were called to the school at 10am.
In a statement Queensland Ambulance said a nmber of children are being treated for ‘minor illness symptoms after they reportedly ingested an unknown substance’.
