New ‘Champions League TV host’ draws in thousands of admirers – but there’s a catch

Football fans are falling head over heels for a glamorous new Champions League ‘presenter’.

Turkish presenter Eysan Aksoy has supporters tripping over themselves to declare their affections in the desperate hope she will notice them.

But there’s just one problem for the sea of would-be Romeos: She doesn’t exist.

Welcome to the world of AI-generated social media stars, a world where men will queue up in the comments section to pour out their hearts to a non-existent woman – even if those men are seemingly in a relationship.

In seven months, Aksoy has amassed an Instagram following of 43,000, the sort of legion some hard-working broadcasters could only dream of.

And it appears some gentlemen are even paying up to £771.50 per month to access Aksoy’s range of ’18+’ content on the website Patreon.

Aksoy, who claims to be based in Istanbul, has only recently taken up football presenting in her imaginary world.

A trawl through her 235 posts on Instagram reveals her apparent obsession with travel, beaches, skyscraper dining experiences and even classrooms.

It is only in the last couple of weeks that the account’s creator has seemingly cottoned on to the popularity of football and thought: ‘why not have Aksoy become a presenter?’

In one rage-baiting post, she is shown the shirts of Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Besiktas, and Trabzonspor – absolute sacrilege if you’re a Turkish football fan. Like wearing the shirts of all of England’s ‘Big Six’.

But none of her swooning followers seem to care about that, or the fact that she is entirely fake. The account explicitly states that it is AI. Do they even notice?

‘You are as beautiful as an angel,’ purrs one chap underneath a photo. For that, he earns the reward of a black heart in response from Aksoy – a treasured gift.

‘You are wonderfully beautiful,’ cries one man.

‘Hello. How are you, beauty of my heart, princesses, sultani queen, beauty,’ says one comment.

Another cries: ‘What a beautiful smile; you look totally stunning, Eysan!!!’

‘How magnificent, she is so beautiful, sexy, classy, the best on TV too,’ arrives the verdict of another, except she has never been on TV.

Alongside her snaps from an AI-generated studio, Aksoy offers insights into her life on picnics, doing yoga, sitting on the bonnets of expensive cars, and even via one scantily clad ‘photograph’ taken in a snowy vista.

‘I don’t care about the cold weather, because my style is always hot!’ she writes.

The future only seems to hold one goal for the creator behind Eksoy: expanding her digital presence, and perhaps making money out of her misled audience.

As well as Patreon and Instagram, her profile has been launched on X, TikTok and YouTube, though the first two sites are her main hunting grounds.

The whole venture could be quite lucrative for the mysterious individual propping up Eksan behind a screen somewhere in the world.

On Pateron, she has seven packages of monthly membership in total, ranging from £4 per month plus VAT to the £771.50 figure referenced before.

‘Videos full of fun, emotions and surprises are waiting for you!’ the account promises.

She is not the first AI-generated sports social media personality to take off.

Over the summer, one ‘influencer’, Mia Zelu, caught attention for her posts at Wimbledon, and even garnered a comment from Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant, despite not being real.
