New code and guide form the basis of a new global standard for secure AI
The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) has published a new AI Cyber Security Code of Practice to address the cyber security risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI) systems.
The Code sets out key principles to help secure AI systems and the organisations that develop and use them.
The publication also includes the response to a call for views, which showed 80% of respondents supported DSIT’s approach. This Code will form the basis of a new global standard to be developed by ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute).
Additionally, DSIT has released an implementation guide, offering practical examples of AI use cases and actions to help organisations follow the Code effectively.
