The Roast of Kevin Hart included brutal jokes about a variety of taboo topics — but several didn’t make the cut.
Hosted by Shane Gillis, Sunday’s special featured a panel of comedy heavyweights — Pete Davidson, Chelsea Handler, Regina Hall, Draymond Green, Tony Hinchcliffe and Sheryl Underwood — who took turns savaging Hart and each other. The roast also featured surprise appearances from Usher, Teyana Taylor, Lizzo, Dwayne Johnson, Katt Williams, and Venus and Serena Williams, while Hart sat onstage taking it all in stride.
Speaking to Variety after the show aired, Madison Sinclair, one of the comedy writers responsible for crafting some of the participants’ ruthless takedowns, revealed some of her top jabs that were not used.
It’s unclear whether the following jokes were cut due to time constraints, but The Independent has contacted Netflix for comment.
“Lizzo broke barriers when she danced as a stripper in Hustlers, mostly because they weren’t properly enforced,” read one, in reference to the pop star’s on-screen acting debut in the 2019 crime-comedy film, starring Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu.

“Kevin is one of the few comedians without a single allegation,” included a second. “When he found out about the #MeToo movement he was shocked. He was like, people are saying no to things?!”
Another took aim at Hart’s participation in the controversial Saudi government-funded Riyadh Comedy Festival last fall. “Kevin, I was so disappointed when you did the Riyadh Comedy Festival because on a human-rights level no one should be forced to listen to your comedy sober.”
During Sunday’s event, Hart was interrupted by none other than former NFL star Tom Brady, the subject of the streamer’s 2024 roast.

Walking out on stage — prepared to reap his revenge on the Ride Along actor who made several jokes about Brady’s divorce from Gisele Bündchen — the retired Patriots’ quarterback said: “Jesus, do you ever shut the f*** up?
“All right, this won’t take long, because, as you guys know, I’m a busy man,” he continued.
“But I do have a few words for you before I return to my affairs in Las Vegas.” Brady is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders NFL team and the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces.

“Oh, wait, I’m talking about affairs in Las Vegas. Was that off? Not supposed to talk about affairs in Vegas? I think I broke another rule,” he said. “F*** it. I talked about it.”
In 2017, Hart became embroiled in a public cheating scandal after footage of him with model Montia Sabbag in Las Vegas was allegedly used in an extortion attempt. The comedian later issued a public apology to his wife, Eniko Hart — who was pregnant at the time of the affair — admitting he had made a “bad error in judgment.”
She and Hart reconciled and had a second child together in 2020. Eniko was also in the audience Sunday night.
The Roast of Kevin Hart is available to stream on Netflix.
