Funding for net zero innovations
This Contracts for Innovation competition, funded by Innovate UK, supports field trials of pre-commercial technologies focused on helping local authorities in the UK meet their net zero ambitions.
Projects must focus on real-world testing and demonstrate how the solution can be developed toward commercial use. The competition aims to generate insight and feedback from end users, allowing applicants to refine their innovations and build a credible route to market.
Proposals must demonstrate strong collaboration with local authority partners, including their commitment to trialling and potentially procuring the solution.
Contracts will be given to successful applicants, with funding available for projects with total eligible costs between £75,000 and £100,000 (inclusive of VAT).
