The Oklahoma City Thunder have done plenty of celebrating after winning the NBA Finals this summer. But it was a different kind of ceremony that brought the team together over the weekend.
Guard Alex Caruso tied the knot with his wife and former ‘Big Brother’ contestant Haleigh Broucher in Houston and brought many of his teammates to the party.
But it was the outfit of one of those teammates that attracted mockery and headlines.
As the group posed for a photo, the sight of the 7-footer Chet Holmgren dressed in a wild all-white suit with a maroon dress shirt, sunglasses, and gold chains got all the attention.
Holmgren’s ensemble stood out from the rest of the group – which was dressed in more subtle attire for the occasion.
Social media went wild for the outfit – with many drawing a likeness to various villainous characters.

‘Chet dressed like a Miami drug lord,’ wrote one person on X, formerly Twitter.
Another remarked, ‘Bro dressed like a 90s pimp’.
‘Is Chet auditioning to be an arms dealer,’ another user wondered.
One user remarked, ‘I thought you’re not supposed to wear white to a wedding or is that only a girl thing.’
‘Chet dressed like he wasn’t invited lol,’ said another.
A different user said, ‘If I had seen this yesterday, I would’ve sworn Chet was trying to sell me jewelry at the mall.’
It’s a summer of celebration for the Thunder after winning the franchise’s first title since moving to Oklahoma.
Now, Caruso has two rings to celebrate – an NBA title and a wedding band. The couple announced their engagement back in August 2024 and had been dating for several years before finally getting married.
