The luxury townhouse once owned by NBA legend Kevin Durant has gone on the market for just $35 – but any hopeful bidders be warned: there is a catch.

The two-time NBA champion, who will earn a base salary of $53million in the 2025-26 season, used to live in the home in Oklahoma City. He reportedly bought two townhouses on the same street for $1.769m back in 2013.

This one spans nearly 4,000sq feet and reportedly includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two kitchens and an extra-long bathtub.

But earlier this year, the property went on the market for just $35. That is despite the current owner paying $1.15m for it back in 2017.

The idea, according to The New York Post, is that bidders should offer what they think the property is worth. And the owner is expecting to sell it for around $1m.

‘(They) felt like a basketball enthusiast or Kevin Durant fan would be interested in owning a piece of history,’ the realtor told The Post. By mid-July it had already received hundreds of bids.

‘I’ve gotten offers for $35,’ the agent told Realtor.com. ‘And I have to present them to the owner. But luckily, they can be weeded out fast.’

Reports last month claimed that some of the offers are close to $1million.

Durant was drafted second overall by the Seattle SuperSonics back in 2017. The team moved to Oklahoma City – and became the Thunder – the following year.

The 36-year-old, who stands at 6ft 11ins, stayed in Oklahoma City until 2016. And he reportedly added a few personal touches to the townhouse, including an extra-tall shower and an extra-long bathtub.

Agents told The Post that there is no set deadline to make an offer for the townhouse.

Durant was last month traded to the Houston Rockets as part of a historic, seven-team deal.
