Elevated on stilts, and offering panoramic views across the Alps, this family-run hotel boasts a curated wellness schedule, proximity to the slopes and impressive Italian-fusion dining
Location
My Arbor is located in South Tyrol in the Dolomites. Reachable by car (the hotel has an underground garage and electric charging points), the nearest airports, Bolzano and Innsbruck, are less than two hours away. You can also travel by train to Bressanone/Brixen and be picked up by the hotel’s shuttle service.
Sitting 1,000 metres above sea level at the end of a winding mountain road, the views down into the valley are magnificent.
The picture-perfect town of Brixen – the oldest in South Tyrol – is 10 minutes away by car. The region is known for its medieval arcades, a cathedral with impressive frescoes, a seasonal Christmas market, and Novacella Abbey – a monastery founded in the 12th century. It is also celebrated for its wineries.
In the summer, the Plose massif is a hub for mountain biking and hiking, while in the winter it’s a popular ski resort for all levels.
Ideally situated for making the most out of the Dolomites, My Arbor offers ski-in/ski-out, access to trails, e-bike tours and opportunities for forest bathing.

The vibe
My Arbor’s striking architecture – it sits on 25 to 35 metre stilts – makes it feel less like a hotel and more like a luxury treehouse. The adult-only retreat completely immerses you in its surroundings: the rooms, restaurants and lounge boast floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the trees, while mahogany tables, exposed textured wood and hanging tree trunks in the reception create a pine-scented ambience.
With its extensive spa facilities, daily fitness program and refined gourmet cuisine, My Arbor is among the Dolomites’ best wellness retreats. The spa offers daily sauna infusions, involving outdoor whirlpools and a cold plunge.
Despite its proximity to popular slopes, the hotel is a beautifully tranquil space where guests drift around in spa robes during the day.
Service
Run by the Huber family – a Brixen native couple – warm Italian hospitality is the foundation of the hotel. The weekly programme of activities is printed out daily for guests, while the restaurant staff, sommeliers and bar tenders are particularly attentive and affable.
Bed and bath
Owing to its elevated structure, each of the 104 rooms at My Arbor enjoys sweeping views of the Alps. Featuring wood panelling, neutral furnishings and warm pendant lighting, the suites’ centrepiece is an alcove day bed that makes you feel nestled among the trees.
Sleep with the curtains open and wake to unobstructed mountain views through floor-to-ceiling windows.
The bedrooms are private and relaxing, from the cosy yet spacious entry-level accommodation to the suites with living rooms and in-room saunas.
The concrete-clad bathrooms are huge, featuring wooden furniture and panelling, a large makeup counter and a rainfall shower with toiletries from the South Tyrolean science-backed skincare brand, Team Dr Joseph. The rooms are all designed for two, but some can be interconnected for families.

Food and drink
The mood-lit restaurant combines design-led interiors with panoramic mountain views. With its contemporary upholstered seats and thoughtfully zoned table layout, the space feels elevated yet relaxed.
The themed dinner menu changes daily, using seasonal produce from the local area and My Arbor’s own farm by Lake Garda. From Saturday “cheat days” to Sunday nature-themed menus, each evening starts with a fresh salad buffet before a choice of five courses is served, followed by an indulgent dessert smorgasbord.
Combining fine dining with a blend of South Tyrolean, Italian and Alpine cuisines, expect fragrant soups, rich meat dishes and plenty of fresh fish plates. The portions are generous, so a light lunch is recommended. Allergens and dietary requirements are clearly labelled on the menu, and vegetarians, vegans and pescatarians are well catered to.
Breakfast is buffet-style and wellness-oriented, offering fresh fruits, granola, yoghurt, juices and a daily shot, alongside meats, cheeses and an Italian-inspired pastry counter.
The a la carte menu features eggs, avocado, smoked salmon or bacon on kamut toast, as well as omelettes and a daily chef’s special.
The stylish bar and lounge offers all-day dining, as well as aperitifs and digestifs. An extensive selection of wines (both local and imported) and gins (including My Arbor’s own botanical-infused spirit) are available along with inventive signature cocktails. Try the sweet berry and prosecco “My Arbor Essence”. Bite-size and flavourful appetisers are served with every drink, in true Italian-style.
Facilities
My Arbor’s two-floor spa is the jewel in its crown. The lower level requires guests to be nude (though you can keep your towel on) and features a stream room, an outside cold plunge pool and whirlpool, three saunas which heat up to 100 degrees, and multiple relaxation rooms with water beds. A refreshment station serves tea and complimentary snacks.
Upstairs, you can easily spend an entire day rotating between the large, heated indoor-outdoor infinity pool, a sauna and top-spec gym. More relaxation rooms come with panoramic mountain views, while 10 treatment rooms offer massages, facials and Ayurvedic treatments using local plants and ingredients.
The curated wellness schedule offers daily yoga or pilates classes, guided forest bathing or hikes, and regular sauna infusion or salt scrub sessions. Outdoor huts with heated beds, blankets and overhead infrared heating can also be booked for private sessions.
As the hotel is ski-in/ski-out, there’s a boot room and a shuttle service is available to the Plose region. Come evening, guests can book guided tastings with My Arbor’s head sommelier in its wine cellar, which houses more than 900 labels.
