Elon Musk appeared to suggest that Ukraine was behind a cyberattack on X after the website experienced outages on Monday, 10 March.
Thousands of users reported outages, according to the tracking website Downdetector.com.
Mr Musk, who bought the site, formerly known as Twitter, in 2022, posted on Monday: “We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources.
“Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved.”
Mr Musk told Fox News: “There was a massive cyberattack to try and bring down the X system with IP addresses originating in the Ukraine area.”
