Four people have been arrested over an alleged plot to murder a man, as Greater Manchester Police (GMP) continued its crackdown on weapons.
The victim was shot in the leg in Woodlands Road, Cheetham Hill, on 4 December.
GMP said a further 13 arrests have been made as part of investigations into four shootings in the Oldham area between 25 October and 8 December, with officers also seizing a shotgun and drugs.
Det Supt Joe Harrop said: “There has been a rise in firearms incidents around specific parts of Oldham and our investigations into these remain ongoing.”
The four men arrested over the Cheetham Hill shooting are aged 18, 21, 26 and 32.
The force said they have since been released on conditional bail, apart from the 32-year-old who was recalled to prison.
GMP said it has seized 232 firearms over the past three years.
